Resident says home burglarized multiple times while she was working
Lawrenceburg Now
A Lawrenceburg woman filed a complaint with law enforcement officers on Monday, saying that her home had been burglarized multiple times while she was at work.
Officers spoke with the thirty-one year old victim at her place of employment. She told them that she had received a warning, indicating that an individual intended to break into her home to steal items.
The victim reported that between December 1, 2016 and January 2, 2017 numerous items had gone missing from her home. Missing were various food items, towels, wash cloths, personal care items, and medications. She estimated the items’ combined worth at $243. She said that all of the burglary incidents had occurred while she was at work.
The victim told officers that she had been notified by an acquaintance that a Lawrenceburg man had used a plastic card to gain entry to her home numerous times during the past weeks. The individual said that the man had stated his intention to break into her home once again while she was working, this time to steal her television and video games. The suspect allegedly told the acquaintance that he “already had them sold.”
At the time the report was filed the allegations remained under investigation.
